The Fountain Inn Chorale, under the direction of Jane Birmingham Morlan and accompanied by Greg Chesney, will present Lights of Home at the Younts Center for Performing Arts on Saturday, April 21, at 7:30 pm.
The group of more than 80 local musicians will perform pieces from Frostiana by Randall Thompson; The Sandburg Trilogy by Jonathan Adams; a Stephen Foster tribute including “Camptown Races,” “Oh! Susanna,” and “Beautiful Dreamer”; and other favorites, including “Moon River” and “On the Sunny Side of the Street.”
Students from Ellen Woodside and Bryson Elementary Schools will sing “I Am but a Small Voice,” then join the chorale in “Hope for Resolution.” The Fountain Inn Chorale starts each performance with the “Star Spangled Banner,” accompanied by Stephen Lookadoo on trumpet.
Ticket prices are $15 and $12; students under the age of 18 are admitted free when accompanying a paying adult.
