Tonight, in a Master Plan Public Hearing, Fountain Inn City Council publicly voted to transfer the Younts Center to the Cultural Arts Foundation Fountain Inn (CAFFI), a move that was confirmed last week. The motion passed with a unanimous decision. No other details of the transfer were released during the hearing.
Council also approved the second reading of the 2017-18 budget by a 5 to 2 margin.
Andrew Ratchford, a Planner with Greenville County Planning Commission (GCPC) who works with Fountain Inn officials, shared information regarding the securing of a $120,000 Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study (GPATS) grant. The grant money will be used to improve and develop Woodside Park and adjoining properties as part of the city’s Master Plan.
