The Alzheimer’s Association will celebrate The Longest Day on June 21, the Summer solstice, to help raise awareness and fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
The local Alzheimer’s Association team, lead by Melissa Camak, will host the Sunset Celebration at The Loom at Cotton Mill Place on June 21 at 6:30 P.M.
The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, a silent auction and dancing–all in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association in 2016, 15.9 million family and friends provide care to loved ones with dementia. In the United States alone that totals 18.2 billion hours of unpaid care. More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Tickets are still available for $50.00 in limited quantities, R.S.V.P. by June 9.
